Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 19, 2026

By using the PingTrix mobile application ("App") and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

1. Use of the Service

PingTrix provides an automated safety check-in, companion monitoring, and alert-dispatching service. You are solely responsible for ensuring your account details, check-in schedules, and trusted contact information are accurate and up-to-date.

2. The Last Note Safety Release

The "Last Note" is a secure message you can write to be released only in emergencies. By enabling this feature, you agree to the following release flow:

  • Check-in Failures & Reminders: If you miss a scheduled check-in, the system starts a multi-day reminder and warning period. Reminders are sent to you on Day 1, Day 5, and Day 6 to give you ample time to check in and cancel the countdown.
  • KCC Lockout Protocol: If 168 hours (7 days) elapse with no check-in, the automated system queries our Key Custody Coordinator (KCC). The KCC acts as a cryptographic gatekeeper, verifying that the 7-day recovery period has elapsed before decrypting the Last Note.
  • Delivery: Once decrypted, the Last Note is dispatched via email to all trusted contacts you have registered. If you are on a Premium subscription, the system will also automatically attempt to mail physical letters containing the Last Note to contacts with a postal address configured, using third-party APIs (Lob).

3. Premium Subscriptions

Certain features (e.g., adding up to 3 trusted contacts, securing physical letter delivery, and enabling Last Note releases) require active Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime Premium plans handled through our secure payment gateways.

4. Important Safety & Service Disclaimers

IMPORTANT: PingTrix is an automated companion check-in system and NOT a replacement for professional emergency response teams, law enforcement, or public safety dispatch networks.

  • We do not guarantee the transmission rates or arrival times of emails, SMS/WhatsApp messages, or physical mail due to limits imposed by third-party telecom operators, email providers, and postal delivery networks.
  • The decryption of the Last Note is entirely dependent on cryptographic keys stored in secure memory. If database records are deleted by user request or if keys are compromised, decryption may fail.
  • You must ensure your contacts consent to receive these alerts and that their contact details (emails, phone numbers, addresses) are accurate. We assume no liability for delivery failures.
